Information - House Rules - Check out

  We want to take a moment to thank you for choosing to stay at our home.  Our names are Al Wagner and Lissa Chaloupka, we are the owners/managers of this home and reside here in Jacksonville.   We look forward to you staying with us and hope you have a relaxing trip.  If you have any questions at all, please feel free to send a message on the contact us page or you can call/text us at:   Al (910) 545-4351 or Lissa at (910) 545-7329.   

  We have created this guide to help you with your stay.  It will help familiarize you with the home, general rules, and check out procedures.  Please treat this home as you would treat your own home.

Internet:  High Speed Internet is provided.  If you need a direct line, the router is located in the cabinet in the living room.    The WIFI information will be provided with your move-in guide..    

Door Lock:  The front door has an electronic lock.  You are the only one with the code.  If for some reason you lose or forget the code, please reach out to us for another code.  To lock the door, touch the screen and hit the lock button.  To unlock, touch the screen and hit the two numbers that display, when the entire keypad appears enter your 4 digit code.   

Security Cameras:  There are 3 security cameras on the EXTERIOR of the home only.  These are to monitor the home in between guests. 

Trash:  There are two trash dumpsters inside the fence beside the house.  One is for trash and the other is for recycling.  Trash and recycling come on Tuesday, please place both dumpsters by the road Monday night.  Do not leave the dumpsters by the road during the week, they are to be stored behind the fence.

Lawn Maintenance:  This is provided.  The lawn care company comes by about every two weeks or as needed.  We will notify you when they are coming so you can have any toys or personal items picked up in the yard.  

Parking:  You may park boats, jet skis, etc inside the fence if you like.  Other than that, please do not drive on the grass.  You may put a lock on the gate to access the back yard if you like.  You will need to remove it when the lawn care folks come by so they can mow the backyard. 

Storage Shed:  The storage shed in the backyard is for you to use.  You may lock it if you like.  The storage attached to the house is for host storage of maintenance items.

Laundry:  There are spare bed sheets and towels in the closets, please change them as you need.  There is a washer and dryer provided for you to use, feel free to use them as often as you like.  If more detergent is needed, you will need to acquire it yourself.  

Thermostat:  The thermostat is set at 68 for heat and 75 for AC.  In certain circumstances you may need to adjust the temperature, it will default back to the default settings within 24 hours. 

Games:  There are games inside the closet, feel free to enjoy as you like.   Please return them as you found them. 

 NO SMOKING in the home or on the property.   (failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of your deposit)

NO PETS:  Though we all love our furry friends, pets are not permitted on the property.  (failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of your deposit)

Grills:  No grills are to be used under the rear covered porch.  Please operate all grills away from the house.  

Cleaning:  We have a cleaning crew come in between each family visit, however it is a condition of your occupancy to keep the home in a reasonable state of cleanliness.  There may be some cleaning supplies when you move in, if not, it is your responsibility to purchase supplies as needed. 

Check Out:  Check out time is 11am the day of your departure.  If you need more time, notify the guests before 12pm the day before checkout so the proper scheduling changes can be made.  Again, we have a cleaning crew come in between each family visit, however it is a condition of your occupancy to leave the home in a reasonable state of cleanliness.  We reserve the right to levy an additional cleaning fee, taken from the security deposit, if the home is not left in a reasonable state or the check out process is not adhered to. 

~ Bag up all trash and place it in the trash dumpsters.

~ All towels, bedding, and dishes used during your stay should have already been laundered/cleaned and put away.   

~ Please load all of the remaining dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start it. 

~ There will obviously be some items you have used over the past day or so.  Please gather all of the towels, strip the sheets, pillow cases, and comforters from all of the beds that were used and start the first load of laundry.  Place all of the other laundry in front of the washer/dryer area on the floor. 

~ All appliances should be left in the same condition as you found them, to include the ones in the pantry. 

~ Put all of the games and game pieces back as you found them.

~ Turn off all the lights and TV’s once you leave.
